Just treat it well and you should be ok. I had my first experience of no ABS the other day when i locked up on some gravel. Other than that for town driving i cant say its any different.

as above treat it with respects and NEVER stomp on the break and always maintain safe distance so your chances of experiencing no abs are minimal, also try to not drive it hard in the wet without propper expirience of the cars characteristics. annnnddddd dont run on crappy tyres as youl have more chance of locking up, hope i havht scared you lol, enjoy your cup mate

Ask yourself how often abs or traction comes in on your old car?

In my experience its only when I've been an idiot or the traction is being a bit keen.

oh and by catching you out the breaks can somtimes lockup breaking on loose ground or hitting a small pot hole slowing down at lights on the dual.

My 200sx has had the ABS removed and tbh it's fine, I have only locked up once and that was due to stamping on the pedal.

  2 girls, 172 cup
Only locked up on two occations, several times in the snow at Christmas which is understandable, and again when slowing quite aggressivly on a DC and went over a manhole cover.

Just don't be an idiot when wet and make sure you have good tyres. I nearly got rid of mine because it was that bad in the wet, but a swapped the tyres with some that I had on another car an the difference was unbeliveable.

Your going to die, the Cup culling season is upon us Blah Blah Blah

But in reality its no different from driving any other car... If you drive like a c**t then you will crash, if you drive within the road / weather limitations then you will be fine.

Countless generations have driven cars before us without ABS, My 1st car didn’t have ABS... Its just that everyone has become soft, and relies on 'driver aids' (A bit like Bad aids but more serious) in the miss guided perception that if they don’t have ABS / ESP etc etc etc then their car will be un-drivable and then will spontaneously combust, skid off the road and go through the pearly gates backwards.

My thoughts exactly.
