Fuse on a CD changer lead for a Poineer headunit and cd changer?

My m8 has broke the fuse i think/hope because my CD changer doesnt work and i cant see the wire in the fuse, AM I SURPOSE TO?

There is no sound when i shake it so im hoping its burnt out.

If theres no wire in a fuse then its burned out. When a fuse wire gets to hot ie power overload then the wire heats up and melts stopping power but saving the machine from an overload.

Replace it with a similar power one and should be fine.
