Quick question on paint chips...

  RB 182
I've done several small layers of the touch up pen to fill the paint chips, I did it with a fine modeling paint brush. I also have some Grade 1500, 2000, and 3000 sanding paper in soapy water ready for tomorrow...

Will be using Scratch X which will do for now, will be PC'ing the car next week if all goes to plan.

Do I apply the clear lacquer after sanding or is this not needed??

Some people use the clearcoat before sanding, would not use it after.

You can get away with just the Black to be honest or you can mix the last few layers before sanding of the clearcoat and black. That was my method on the 182.

I've just had a crack at sanding an hand polishing a few. Some are spot on, a few still need a layer or two... but on the rear quater, it looks like ive gone through to the primer :dead: only sanded lightly so not sure if the paints very thin in that section? Its just below where im meant to me sanding down... bit too nervous to carry on now!

Anyone local that is good at this? I might call chips away or someone like that lol.

I'm guessing that spot will need a small respray? Its only about 6mm².. slight orange colour to it...
