Quick question on Track Rod Ends (nut size)

Tackling track rod ends tomorrow and I'm wondering what size of spanner is needed for the locking nut usually?
Reason I ask is I think I'll need to buy one first.

Also, track rod ends seem to be coming in at £20 per side at motor factors, does this seem right?

I think i'm right in saying this could be between two different sizes depending on what rack is fitted to your car, hopefully someone will be along who can confirm this.

normally around £15 a side, normally 21 or 22mm

fred sorry to jump on thread but are there 2 different lengths,cup none cup ect? i have tried hunting through suppliers but no definate answers
or possibly different length inner joints?

no idea off the top of my head, there's male and female, need to know what rack you have really (normally SMI)

Depends what rack is in it,there could be up to 4 types in there.
