Quick Update

Car  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
Some pics from the weekend, trying to get little niggly things sorted on the car that have been long overdue.

After 3 years of ownership and driving the 172 with the wrong dialset :

I finally got the proper one sorted and the mileage corrected to match the car.

very nice dude, lovely car, how come it had the wrong dialset?

the car was imported into the country with the wrong dialset, guess the french guys in the factory ran out of the RS dials and french being french just stuck base model dials in, no trip computer or anything.

yeah the guy was really good, I had got up early to get to Rentech to have the suspension sorted, Mike did it real quick and I headed home. Whipped the dash out and fitted the new dials, called the guy up (hadn't made any arrangements or bookings) and he was at my garage door within an hour 1/2 and got the job done.

What was the suspension problem you were having mate ??

Looks stunning btw .. good effort ..

Hope you don't mind me asking but where did you get it fixed and how much did it cost please :o

Maz :D

i know i feel really lucky, as just before my 36k service i moved from North Wales to Surrey (60 miles away from RenTech!!) and I had no idea where I was going to take the car after having bad experiences with the previous 2 services at Renault Liverpool.

My mates got the standard looking dash in his 172 (import)

Did replacing it with a "proper one" make the trip computer work?
