Sutty has the grey 2 litre turbo Nova. Running 11.1s last time he raced, its now stg 4d so should go 10s. Similar engine to the guy with the Cossvaux 2 litre turbo Nova van.

See ya

  BMW 320d Sport
For the record, my best run (at Santa Pod, mind) was a 13.359@107.36mph and that was off a 2.3 sec 60ft. Did 4 other close runs that day, slowest came out around 13.6@105 IIRC, all on the 19th Feb 2005.

There's a lot more to come from that Clio yet, I'm sure Adi will do the job and get it into the 12's.

My new cars gona go 10s with Renault power dont wanna say much yet cos its only just having the chassis built lol. The motor is just been built, aiming for around 290bhp but its safe to 10000rpm so it'l scream. Not a renault body though, all I can say is Harry Pothead

See ya

Matt

Its carbon fibre, its got a chopped roof, its been sectioned (the body cut horizonally all way round and lowered) and the front end has been stretched. Oh and its got windened wings lol. Mid engined RWD lol.

See ya

I have to say I am very impressed by these times especially the 12.5.

I always thought as rough figures go that you need about 400-450bhp per tonne to get down to a 12.0/115, 750bhp per tonne for a high ten/130 and nearly 1000 per tonne for mid 9/high 140's.

I don't know much about car quarters though, I am more into stock road bikes (and thats obviously RWD with a 6sp sequential) so I am amazed at what these Clio's are doing. I guess if you lowered the gearing on bikes so that they only had the top speed as a hot hatch then they could pull off those times with a far lower power to weight than I have stated above.

Still I am surprised and that must take some serious throttle and clutch control.

I went to RWYB @ Santa Pod 23/10
and ran a 15.0 91mph on my first attempt.

then later in the day, I managed a 14.923, then amazingly a 14.804 92.67mph.

Not to bad for a stock 172 cup with piper cross panel filter and some jap stickers??
