  Clio 172 Cup
I am looking to have quite a bit of work done at once

my car is due a full service including Cambelt, aux belts etc, oil, coolant, etc etc. basically all the usual

it’s a 172 cup
The car does not have air conditioning

I also need brake discs and pads all round (front and rear) being a 172 cup I think having no ABS makes a difference when buying these (?)

And yet again, I may need 2 front calipers!

Sure it’s a great deal of work, I know it will be worth it once done :)

I am located in the north west London area / Hertfordshire

is there an ideal place to get everything as a kit?

Are there any specialists near me that you can recommend for carrying out this kind of work?

I was even considering going to the Renault dealer but before I do anything, want to get some opinions from here :)

I have probably forgotten to add something so be sure that I’ll be back with more to ask lol

thanks all!

I definitely wouldn’t be taking it to Renault mate. There’s a strong chance they won’t have anyone there with the experience of doing the cambelt swap on the f4r. It’s not difficult by any stretch of the imagination, but it can be fiddly and it needs to be accurate.

Not forgetting they’d have your pants down as well to potentially get the cam timing wrong.

There’s AW Motorworks not that far from you, he’s well regarded for this work on these cars as well.

Thanks, I just checked that place and it’s about 1.5hrs away from me!

There used to be a place in Aylesbury that I always saw Renault RS cars outside but I don’t know if it’s still about! That’s nearer to me, I might have to drive past to see if it still exists.

will wait for a few responses, hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction of either the best place to buy all the parts from (only want original, or original spec, nothing aftermarket)

or a place that can supply and fit the parts at a decent rate

cheers

1.5 hours is hardly a long way to go to see a good specialist.

Beaniesport in Milton Keynes may be nearer?

For parts: Renault Parts Direct, KAM Racing, Road Track Race Parts.

  Whichever has fuel
1.5 hours is only round the corner man!

I took my car to Beaniesport when I wanted it finished, a good 7 hour round trip (and that’s before me and him stand chatting for hours and hours!)

if it’s your pride and joy and you want it all done properly, then 1.5 hours is nothing. Imo.

This beanie place is much nearer to me, thanks for the recommendation.
