Today I was offered a basic spec '06 197 for near £12.5k. It had only done 4k miles despite having new/bald non-standard 40 profile tyres all around. This was at a main dealer.

Mine was 12k and a shed, but it only had 9k miles on it, is an R27 and had four brand new conti sports all round. Some poor tw@ will buy that. And at a ridiculous price it seems.

It was the fact that it's at a Renault dealer that made it noteworthy, to me.

How on Earth can it have a genuine 4k miles on it, when it's already got 4 new tyres all round, and they're bald? lol

No Cup packs even. Also, the guy didn't even appear to know what a Clio 200 even is. Yet another s**t dealer

All their dealers are w**k. Having seen what Alan bought, can see even less reason to get a 197.

I didn't go looking for a 197. It was next door to a Nissan garage which had a GT-R in :approve:

It might have done 4k in track miles and been driven exceptionally hard? Seems pretty suss though. And anyone who buys it probably won't have thought about those things.

There's an RB one at our dealer, they don't have a funking clue either. And I doubt they'll know what the 200 is. LOLS. Especially as the literature still isn't in stealers.

My nearest dealer knows what the 200 is... the old chap who looks after me is working through is retirement and refuses to leave his valued customers. He rings me every now and again to ask how I'm doing. He rang me yesterday and I asked for a test drive in the Clio 200... his response: "I wondered how long it would take you to ask that Dan, I'll sort it out for you".

Changed the oil the other day and lost the sump plug.
