R017 plates

Hey guys, people with the ro17 cage was the rear plates welded inside or in the wheel arch?
If inside what size hole did you drill for the nuts to go through?

Welded spreader plates into the floor of the rear footwell.

It also bolts through the rear arches, 3 each side but can’t remember the size

The very rear ones with 3 bolts? I kept them on the outside more as a spreader plate. Didn't weld them in.

Ah thanks guys sorry didn’t get a notification il decide tomorrow when I do them weather to weld or not but thanks for the responses

You don't need to weld the rear arch bolts, just the spreader plates for the main hoop that sit in the rear footwell
