Basically i am wanting to put my battery into the boot to free up some space in the engine bay, ive done abit of research and from what ive read is that you have to trickle charge race batterys and this would be no good for me, i dont want fumes coming out so it needs to be sealed, can anyone tell me what the best battery for me, i use the car daily and do around 200 miles a week
Thanks :)

Wow, some big myths you have there.

Race batteries are sealed and dont vent fumes Look up AGM batteries on Wiki, tells you what you need to know.

Best place for it is under/behind passenger seat. The boot is a bit far away (voltage drop through the long cables)

An Odyssey 25/PC680 or RedTop battery is what you want

They like to be kept charged so if your using it on a daily driver then it will be kept charged obviously. No need to put it on charge when you get home if you will be using it the next day or so. Our race car goes several weeks without starting and it fine. But thats a slightly bigger battery (Racing 30)

but the racecar wont have the electrics i have will it? so a odyssey 25 is the one to use? anyone else had one on a road car and been fine?
Thanks for the reply jay :)

Hi mate, ive been running an Odyssey 25/PC680 in my daily driver/toy under my passenger seat for over a year now without any problems at all. Only downfall is the cold weather weve been getting. As it struggles to fire the engine over, but then again my cars stripped to within an inch of its life so the battery has no means of been thermally insulated agaisnt the cold. Nothing a ctek trickle charger wouldnt sort out though.

Same here mate, have a odyssey 25 in the GT and that lasts for around 3 weeks without starting.
