imo, rb's look lost without them. i'd defo keep them on it and as to the whole go faster stripes, the car weighs almost nothin and has a 2litre pumpin 182 horses. don't need to go much faster

  clio mk1, 5 gts mk2
has any1 cn the top gear program were they put racing stripes on a totaly standard rover i think and it made the car over a second slower than the 1 without, i myself would rather b going that 1 second faster than the stupid stripes on most cars they just look rubbish!

I doubt the stripes make a car 1 second slower...plus so many variables involved you can't even test this very well. Putting two seperate cars head to head on a track like that will not really show a valid difference IMO.

The stripes look cool, though I would only have them if they were a standard renault thing, would never stick them on myself.

I think they should be kept, it's a reference to the old R8 gordini, and I think thats a bit of history where renault can be proud of.

Now, i have just bought a racing blue clio sans stripes and am unsure whether or not to add stripes..... btw, i like the way you have extended the stripes over the bumper kully.

Im warming to the idea of adding stripes as it turns out someone literally 500 yards down the road from me has a identical 54 plate blue clio (no stripes)!! :)

definitely with! i wouldn't buy one without and if i did, i'd have to get them put back on! racing blues only, 172 cups looks shite with them imo

Either way really. My brother has a racing blue ff 182 without stripes and it looks great... but equally as good looking is the cup i see quite often with the stripes.

If it was me personally, I think I'd have them on.

leave them on they look good car looks a bit plain without them mine had none when i bought it and i put them on
with ref go faster stripes jus tell them that it dont need the stripes to go fast

  RB 182 Cup
I have them on mine and in about 6 months of owning it I have never had a single bad comment, if they are on the car when you buy it don't take them off, Racing blues with racing stripes are in limited numbers I think its a shame to change something thats already there, but I do think it doesn't suit any other colour

I'm quite surprised that this thread suddenly popped up again. But hey if we're not allowed to resurrect old posts then why are we given the choice??? Don't think its a problem.

Besides I resent the 'one so sh!t' comment thank you!! lol

I'd be most worried about paint fade. Wouldn't wanna take the white stripes off only to find I'd got two blue stripes in their place!

Never ever thought i would say it, but i like the racing stripes on the cup.

On the other hand, if you look at other manufacturers of hatch backs incorporating this look, for example the fiesta ST, then you would realise it doesnt look half as bad as their examples.
