Radio Code Needed...

A few days ago my mate left his lights on (don't ask) and the battey went flat to the point where the remote locking would not work.

The radio reset itself though. He went down to Renault to ask for help, and they tried to calculate the code by the chassis number. This did not work, as the radio was not the original as the old one got stolen.

It is the standard clio dynamique from a 51 plate radio/CD.

Anyone any ideas how he could get the code?

brain, i need one 2. this is for an 02 reg 172. Im guessing i have to take out the HU for this, i cant just give u a chassis number or anything?
