I have a sony headunit fitted to my renno, when i switch the engine on i get crackling from the speakers, but only when radio is on, not cd. Does anyone have any ideas? Have checked all connections etc. Cheers!

Does no body know, would a supresser work etc?
the other possibility is you have an earth problem elsewere in the car, ie when my distibuter cap went on my mark 1 phase 3 (the one with out a rota-arm) i suffered interferance on the radio as the one of the hts were earthing to a point on the cap it should have been, ok without the engine on coz ur hts arent in use.
took my ages to work it out until i started loosing power driving home one night, had been runnin on 3 cylinders for a week, looked under the bonnet one night in the dark and saw sparks...lovely
