Re-fixing drivers's wing mirror to the base...... how to?

  Porsche 996 Carrera
Some ^%&£I@! decided to knock my daughter's wing mirror off yesterday. It's not broken and the loom is repairable (I've already resoldered the wiring, but I'm struggling to see how you re-attach the mirror chassis to the pivot housing on the car.

There's a BIG-ass spring with a metal cylinder that from what I can see needs to be pressed in and then the cylinder swiveled around to lock into place?

Is there a special too, technique or talent to do this as I'm struggling to do it!

Thanks

Dan

Please delete - as inspiration hit, and all is well again - fixed. FWIW, simple really - maneuver the chassis rather than the clip (simple physics!)
