Re-Mapping

Will re-mapping my 200 affect the manufacturer warrenty left on it? Plus what could I hope to gain from it?

It would prob be difficult for them to tell. And not a massive amount if its standard.

no real power gain will be achieved, doubt Renault will be able to tell its been remapped.

If it's similar to the 197, there's not much to gain from the standard car although it will remove the annoying flatspot between 2-300rpm

IME of other cars the dealer is unlikely to be able to tell if the map has changed, but if they suspect it (or if you have a big claim) then they can of course send it off to the manufacturer who can tell.

We had someone write into a vauxhall magazine I write for and say that the dealer had done this to avoid a clutch warranty.
