Re-Stitching 172 Seat, Blown Airbag.

Picked up some 172 seats today but need to get the passenger seat re-stitched. Going to have a go at doing it myself later.

Doesn't look like it's going to be too hard and i just need to get some new seats into the car as my ones are totally minging at the moment and the handes are broken so they don't recline to let people in and out of the car!

Half an hours work and seat looks good as new to me!

Not going to notice the stitching unless you are looking for it either!

I wouldn't of thought so as not all cars have airbags in the seats anyway?

I only say that as I had a car that randomly decided to blow the airbag while it was parked up. I took the seat to the local trim guy and he wouldn't do it as it was not allowed.

had loads of seats stitched by trimmers, after we have refitted the airbag that is.

Do these take long to fit? Will be taking it to garage to do on the ramp, need to get it done by 10.30 tomorrow morning for my drive to Blackpool!

Were these the ones that finished early on ebay last week? Was looking at these myself, anyways good job on that stitching!

what i would have done if i was you is taken the cover off of the sports seat and then swaped it over with the cover on your standrad seats. that way you will have a working airbag and airbag lights wont be flashing. plus its easy to switch the covers so you can still do it but they have came out good mate

Found them in my Free-Ads paper, had to pick them up from less than an hour away!

£120 for full interior including the door cards which had the elec window switching with them!

Paid local garage £10 to fit the seats for me, shall get some pics once i cleaned the stitching up a little and cleaned my interior!
