Really getting to me now - please help

My Clio 16v has a fault.

It has a rough idle but the ecu seems to cut in and level it out.

It has a bad flat spot as you pull off and also there is no power at the top of the rpm range. I cant even get it past 6500rpm in 3rd.

It sometimes also just splutters, no power between 2500-3500rpm.

So far the garage has no idea what it could be. I have changed so far:-

Fuel Pump
TDC
Coolant sensor
new plugs
lamber
garage tested the dizzy and leads and they are fine.

Does any one have an idea what it could be, it is really getting down now.

could be the ignition coil this happened to my old 1.2 clio, kept spluttering and loss of power. not sure if it'll be the same on a 16v?

will look into that, was thinking that earlier though

oh and it has had a new fuel filter aswell.

Does it have an airflow meter ? Seems a common problem on other makes

I’ve just changed the throttle potentiometer on mine because of similar probs, might be that. The three wires on mine where exposed and they where touching.

wires seem fine on but the garage did mention it could be at fault. Hope not they aint cheap lol

Could be the spark plugs, my old mans car spluttered cause of this
