Reanult "forget" to attach my exhaust back on GRRRR

  172 Cup
Just pulled out of my apartments car park and passed over the first of a few speed bumps that I have been over a thousand times in the past when I heard a car right up my ass with the loudest exhaust you have ever heard in your life..

Instantly I'm thinking "tw*t" but when I looked in my mirror there's no-one there.. I stopped, turned arround and sure enough there's no car there.

So on I continue over the second speed bump and there's this car with a fcuking loud exhaust again. Stop, look, no-one there.

Third speed bump and crash, bang, noise of Formula 1 proportion now.. Rev the engine slightly and people start staring at me

My backbox has only sheered off completely a week after it was at the dealers to get the centre section replaced:mad:

Re: Road rage with invisible car..

AA are on their way to recover the car... Third trip to the dealers in 10 days.

Update -

AA have just left. First thing he said was "this has been to Reanult in the last few days for a new centre section hasn't it??" to which I obviously said yes... His reply "well tell them to clamp the back box on next time as they've forgotten to"

GGRRRRRR!!!

Re: Road rage with invisible car..

Update 2 - AA call Renault Wolverhampton in my presence. They have a quick chat and the AA guy tells me to take the car over and they will sort out their fcuk up while I wait.

Just called the garage to say I'm on my way and he said no problem. Just about to put the phone down only to be told "you do realise we'll keep the car but we won't look at it until next Monday now"..

WTF!?!?! What planet are they on? Takes 20 minutes to stick a back box back on properly this time!!

Either way I'm stuck.. Take car and leave it there for a week (probably come back scratched with 100+ miles on the clock) or keep it and drive arround like some barryboy for a week...

My final payments up next month so that Civic Type R seems appealing all of a sudden.

Personally I reckon you should try the age old technique of driving there and shouting at them lots until they decide to fix if for you there and then.

Tried arguing the toss over the phone to no avail.

Ok it's fair enough if the customer is saying it's Renaults mistake but the AA themselves told them they'd forgotten to attach it properly.

Might give Reanult UK a quick call me thinks...

The saga rolls on....

Renault UK are very appologetic but said they cannot overide the dealers schedule.

Renault Wolverhapton then call me saying they will do it today after all IF I can get from Walsall to Wolverhampton by 3pm. It's now 2.30pm so I have no chance.

They comprised by saying if I get there for 7.45am on Friday they will do it first.

Need a beer now..

What a bunch of tossers! Im so glad my car is out of warranty. Any work that needs doing on my car now, will be completed by myself, or GDI for services etc.

I would go there and refuse to move until they sort out yet another of THEIR f*ck up's ... total tossers if you ask me and how helpful are RUK ... NOT

Had no choice but to drive it to my parents.

And if my days not bad enough on the way back I decided to go through the lanes as it meant less people pointing at me only to be confronted by a skip lorry (well above weight limit imposed on the lane) which forced me off the road. Spent £40 having the car valeted yesterday and the alloys got a chunk missing from it which you can't quite see on the photo -

Plenty of people with much worse problems in life so I'm grateful mine are small in comparison :)

It's only a car at the end of the day..

Always mention 'watchdog' and the local papers when you have a complaint. Seems to drive fear into any well-known company. Make out you're a busy-body who will make as much fuss as possible.
