Rear brake calipers

Is a tool required to wind back the pistons when changing the pads?
As the calipers look very similar to ones ive worked on in the past on other makes where you need a tool to wind the piston back.

Changed mine on Saturday. I did have to wind mine back, but I improvised with a screwdriver, as I don't have many tools.

That was i was thinking i may have to do. I thought they did look like the wind back type.
