rear brakes rusting

how do i stop this hapening it hapens after i wash the wheels. i would just leave it but it throws out tuns of orange dust onto the wheels after a couple of miles.

If you get them dipped/coated in zinc before fitting this will reduce, if not stop the of rusting/oxidation to the discs, txt rob off SW-CC about it, I'm sure he will point you in the right direction Dan, IIRC he has had it done to a couple of his previous cars and it does make a huge difference.

Wash car, go round the block a couple of times using the brakes, come home.

Or, cover them in grease. That should sort it. ;)

There's nowt you can do.

My C2 is even worse: it uses the same discs/pads as an old shape Audi A3 (IIRC) - clearly overkill on a car that size... and they corrode badly as a result.

I gently pull the handbrake at 30MPH (regularly), in order to get rid of the corrosion.

I just cover them in WD40! Simples!
























I am joking. Don't do that. They always oxidise really fast, as mentioned you can cover them or simply drive the car a little, backward and forward and apply brakes a bit, this helps remove moisture and helps stop it.
