I wondered the same as you when I had to get mine replaced last year. After some research and talking to GDi this is bassically what I concluded: The rear brakes do bugger all so just stick to the factory discs and pads.
As said above, make sure you get the ones with the ABS rings though (unless yours is a Cup). I'd get them from a specialist like GDi though rather than Renault as they cost less even for the same parts.
