Rear Brakes

  Titanium Clio 182
Need new ones, What should I do?

Get the fitted by a garage?
Fit them myself? (I have no experience with brakes)

What brakes should I go for and how much do they cost?

Disks or pads?

Just if you need discs get ones with the bearings and ABS rings already on for ease.

I wondered the same as you when I had to get mine replaced last year. After some research and talking to GDi this is bassically what I concluded: The rear brakes do bugger all so just stick to the factory discs and pads.

As said above, make sure you get the ones with the ABS rings though (unless yours is a Cup). I'd get them from a specialist like GDi though rather than Renault as they cost less even for the same parts. :D

Bought my Renault rears & pads from K-TEC then paid a local garage £40 to fit them. Miles cheaper than the £350 odd Renault wanted.
