  Clio 2 F4R 780
Hello guys!

I got a mk2 ph1 clio, currently shes got drum rear breaks but since I like driving on twisty roads, and I was thinking if its safe to do that while having drums on the rear?
Would it be worth it to think about a rear break conversion?
Does anyone have any experience?

Your drums will be fine for driving on twisty roads.
Limitations will be tyres and driving skill before the drums being a factor.

Okay thanks.
I guess from reading stuff, I kinda got worried about them getting heatsoaked.

Also, do you have any advice on what upgrades should I do to my clio?
After I service the car, Im thinking of getting 258 Brembo Disks and EBC Yellowstuff pads.
Since my engine isnt the stock 1.6, Ive got a 2.0 F4R from a Laguna, Im thinking of upgrading not only the breaks but the suspension aswell.
Its my daily car, and the roads arent the best in my country so Im not sure if Id want coilovers but I wouldnt mind less bodyroll/more responsiveness.

What country are you in? I reckon that has a lot to do with what you should do to your car.
Im from hungary, but if i wanna go on nice drives, then Id go to Austria since I live right on the border.
Thats why getting coilovers wouldnt be great but I was thinking of maybe Bilstein B4s with lowering springs, either Eibach or Vogtland.

What is the parts availability like? Can you get everything easily? The standard Renault Sport Cup parts are a really good compromise for bad/good roads imo. Cup shocks and springs are leagues ahead of non sport suspension.

What would I need to convert? Ive read that rear shocks fit from the 172 to non rs ones, but I dont know much about the rest of the suspension parts and if anything in the front would fit either.
Also if there is a page or something that would tell me the process and which parts id need to buy/modify for me to get the sports suspension would make my night!

Oh also, I think I can get pretty much any clio rs parts if not oe, but aftermarket like würtemberg or japanparts or some kind of brand

thats so fire can u give a list on what u changed?
front hub carrier (because they have the 54 mm spacing to use the 172 suspension ) caliper carrier and front calipers from clio 172 , front lower wishbones from 172 , front antiroll bar with all brackets from 172 if you want 172 driveshaft you need front hubs too or you can use your hubs with your driveshafts regarding rear parts it s all about disks and there you need everything , rear disks with caliper carrier and caliper , stub axle on both sides with the washers that go behind the disks , brake pipes you need to manufacture from zero , i will post some pics on my car what i ve done .

As you can see the car is wider and the wheels are sticking out a bit , regarding rear brake in my country i couldn t find the flexi pipe for rear calipers and just done a complete rear pipe from copper , i know is not perfect but maybe i will find those flexi pipes .
