What's the flat connecting bar that connects the sliders on the rear calipers called (yoke?) and what is its purpose? Mine are pretty rusted, are they still a available?

I think it’s just to make sure the sliders move evenly. Can you just use hydrate 80 and spray them? That’s all I did...

I left one over night in deox gel after a wire brushing but it barely touched them. Hydrate 80 was my next plan

Need to give them a good attack with a wire brush with a grinder. Must be bad if that won’t touch it.
