Rear Exhaust Mount bolt removal !

Ive removed 2 out of the 3 but one of them just seems to be spinning. i can only assume that what the bolyis screwed into is rotating !

any ideas how to get it out.

theres not alot of room to get anythink above !

i think there's like weld nuts on the boot floor, if you lift up the boot carpet. maybe they've broke off

ok cool i will take alook. hopefully there is ! got a new mount coming next week so will need to take it off

on a 172 they dont come thru the boot floor, im pretty sure they are threaded into the beam above the mount, sounds like one has snapped in the past (pretty common) and been drilled out and re fitted with a nut and bolt, you should be able to feel if its got a bolt on it?

Sorted it, your correct it doesnt come through into the boot. I took the backbox off and gripped it from the top. i could get access with the box off. Going to use a stainless nut and bolt as a replacement.

This happened to mine, I used the dremel and replaced it with a stainless nut and bolt like you
