rear shocks, opinions

put my mota in for MOT and bloke reckons my rear shocks are badly corroded so im gonna replace em,

do i get the standard 1s put on(my cars arse is low as f**k) or get sum uprated jobbys?

can u buy them without buyin the fronts too? how much? much difference in handling?

...do they even exist?????!!!:D (mk1 1.4rt)

get lower ones as its probably riding on the bumpstops if its lowered.

yes you can buy just rear ones. Price dunno but stock efforts are about 50 quid the pair.

Dont even bother with standard rear ones...

Id imagine that you could pick up a set of spax or something bottom end for around £60?? maybe more or less not sure, I have Koni adjustables, well worth the $, probably just as well to get fixed damping cheaper ones cos to be honest the adjustment means bugger all on the road, only affects the rebound.

I had some Spax shocks on the rear of my old 1.2 (same application as the 1.4 RT) and I didnt notice any difference in the handling - although the back would rebound very quickly and would "bob" very nicely over smooth bumps. Think they cost me about £50 for the pair.
