Rear suspension clunk

Car  Mk2 clio
Just brought some fairly cheap springs for my mk2 clio, front ones are sound but the back ones are clunking occasionally when going over bumps, jacked the car back up and the springs appear to be rubbing on themselves, anybody else had this problem or can offer me any advice on the problem? Seen a few people say that they just settle after a week or two of driving but thought I'd ask myself. Thanks!

Not really no, I've spoke to a few other spring companies and apparently it's a common thing with clio springs as they are small and there is a lot of coils in the middle of the rear springs, they said insulation tubing around the springs will stop any noise apparently, so I'm going to try that and see what happens, If that doesn't work then will just have to try different springs I guess

I tryed your theory and it worked. But I used the cheap option of 10mm silicone pipe around the tails of the spring. So far so good, fingers crossed that has cured my problem.
