Recommend me a quality DIY clear coat lacquer

As the title, I want something that is nice and glossy but also tough and hard wearing. The Halfords stuff is soft as shite even when its well cured.

I always had this problem with DIY lacquering, I think it needs to be left to cure for AGES.

You are right mate - Halfords lacquer is very soft.

I have recently started using Simoniz lacquer from ebay - £10 posted for 2 x 500ml rattle cans.
