Red Paint Work

A mate of mine has a solid red MX-5, that is a complete state - the paint is very faded.

What can he use to get the paint looking remotley acceptable, without PCing it, and without too much effort - he's not too keen on spending loads of cash or loads of time..!!

If it single stage paint and not laquered hence the bad fade, a chemical paint cleaner such as Klasse All in One or Carlack 68 by hand should clean it up quite nicely by hand.
