Remaining miles display not working.

You know the part of the multi function display that says how many miles you should be able to get out of your remaining fuel?

The dashes just flash on mine, it's never once displayed anything bar flashing dashes.

The MPG section works spot on and is accurate, as are the average speed, trip miles, gallons used etc, just not the miles remaining.

Is this a common problem?

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Or even where i should start investigating?

If it isnt flashing because theres no fuel left id imagine that its either a stored fault or the fuel sensor is gone. Try holding in the stalk button and turning the car to ign and watch the dials dance, use the button to scroll through and see if any letters appear. Press the mileage reset button and turn the car off and it should come back within a few miles if thats what the problem was

mine goes out when the fuel light comes on , gotta love petrol roulette lol
