Removing 182 Cup Gear Knob..

...my missus wants to replace the standard gear knob on her 182 Cup (05 reg).

How do you get the damn things off?? Are they glued on?

Do they just need some serious twisting?

I had to cut mine off with a saw !!!

(a bit dramatic i know but it was the only way ! )

Heat up the glue with a hairdryer, and twist while pulling. Don't saw it, as you can probably get a good £25 for it off ebay towards your new one!

Ooops!! Perhaps a saw isn't the idea then.

I'll have a go with a hairdryer and some persistence!! lol Gotta find a gear knob that she wants first I guess.

Do B+M do just the knob that they put on their short shift pack?
