Removing a Cup Gearknob!

Hey Guys i knwo this may have been mentioned b4, but dont know if it was about the cup!
Im installin my KTR Quickshift tonight and seem to be able to do everything but remove this damn thing!!!!!! i want to keep it in tact, anybody know? specifically?

They are very difficult to remove - like impossible without damage!
