removing a dint

Recently had me car dinted by some nobhead who decided to do a runner and so i aint a clue how or why it happened. been quoted £120 for it to be repaired but spoke to the bodyshop guy an he said after looking at me boot and the work i did on my wiper id probs be able to do it meself.

He said to drill a hole about 4mm rite in the centre of the dint in order to pull it out because its in a part of the wing that you cant get to, then just fill and spray etc.

Is this the best way to do it or not. Im getting the car fully resprayed soon so iv been advised to do all the dints and repair work myself by the body shop to make the respray cheaper.

sounds right - I assume metal wing cos plastic on newer cars!

i dont think theres any place on the wing you cant get to.

drop the arch liner off or you can even just pop it out slightly and get a screw driver up the back of it.

if its in the middle theres nothing in the way.

his way is right if you cant get to the back of it, like say behind a strenghtener or on a rear quarter panel and the company dont have a pin puller.

drill a 1/8th hole and screw in a self tapping screw slightly then pull it out with pliers.

but yea, definatly 100% you can get to mk1 wings by just dropping the arch liner off
