Removing Clio Badge

[KTR-CLIO]

I am thinking of removing the Clio badge from the back of my 2002 Clio.

I have heard mixed opinion on how it is attached. Some have said that its just stuck on and others have said that it leaves holes when removed??

mine was stuck on with glue and two tacks.

It will leave 2 holes.

mine has two holes

reglued the badge when i found that out though

easiest way to find out is slide a credit card down behind it, if you meet any resistance then it has pins, if not you will have a nice smooth arse by the end of it

Take of badge, put filler in the holes, sand over, prime, paint..

Quite a big Job for a smooth ass. Nothing id attempt myself. Unless you really know what your doing. Does it mean u would have to re-spray the whole tailgate?

Yeh some you can just heat with a hair-dryer and peel off.

my mate just brougt a 1.2 Rt and his badges were pinned on, unfortunatly his car now has two bullet holes in the back

You lot all sound like willy woofters!!

I de-badged mine and there were 5 pins altogether

All i did was glue (with tiger seal) bits of mesh behind the holes (bit of a sh*t job to be honest) and then fill the holes over the top so there is something to hold the filler

However to be able to smooth it properly is a masterful job but once its done it looks much better

new clios have two holes. i bought a sport badge for my clio which stuck on , but the renault badge has two pins in it, seems a lot too me to take a badge off then ill some holes, but each to their own!!
