In the process of removing my aircon off my 172. Removed the easy bit rad, pump, pipes etc. Just wondering how do I remove the parts inside the heater box behind the plate in the firewall? I can't see how to get the box out. Also as I am using the (cheapskate) way to remove it using the existing alternator 
any idea what diameter bottom idler I will need to run a standard size belt?
