Removing lower inlet

Just a question regarding removing lower inlet before I attempt it.

I've read previously that part of the alternator brackets need removing before you can get the lower inlet off, is this due to access to the bolts or can you not physically get the lower inlet out with the alternator brackets still in place?

What did you have to do to gain access mate? always useful for people searching in the future, wouldnt mind knowing as well
