Removing Mirror Glass

Is the wing mirror glass simply clipped into the mechanism or is it bonded?

Trying to fix my passenger side as it got smashed off a while back by some tw*t! All of the metal work that provides the pivot is snapped so Im going to attempt to bond it solid! Its been hanging on by duck tape for a month!

clipped. theres a little hole in the underside of the mirror housing where you stick a knitting needle of something through to move the clip and pop off the mirror. bizarelly my old rt had different clips on each mirror, the other side had two pins which needed to be brought to meet each other just behind the very bottom of the mirror, if you point the mirror right up you could just see them.

No hole in mine, I see what you mean because the colour coded cap has the hole (taken that off), the actual mirror casing is solid. Could be because theyre electric?

hmm not sure, my old k reg rt ones were manual.
