Removing Subframe but keeping engine in?

Just a quick question, Can you remove the subframe whilst keeping the engine in? I think the answer is yes but just wanted to confirm.

yep, when I changed my clutch I removed the subframe and Gearbox completely, the engine stayed.

Yes, you'll need a support bar across the top of the engine though.
