I once tried to remove mine , thought it was gonna snap so i gave up .

I'm sure i read somewhere you have to remove the mirror itself to gain access to a screw or something . I might be wrong though lol :approve:

Nah mate I removed them on my 1.2 numerous times without issue, but these on the RB just wont budge!

There's no screws holding them on.

I used a flat headed screw driver in the gap where they join to lever them off, didnt seem too difficult tbh.
A good tip i found was to fold them in towards the car when i was doing it otherwise they tended to get a bit stuck on the part that joins to the car.

Any problems PM me

Good idea ;)

You might find it easier if the mirror is folded in?

Yeah I have tried that also, seems to make no difference, just really don't want to resort to using a screwdriver or similar as I want no damage! :dapprove:

Yeah fair enough mate, mine are unpainted so wasnt a huge worry for me. Just wrap the screwdriver in electrical tape or similar to protect it if yours are painted though.

I found the best place to try and lever it was under the kind of "arm" bit that links it to the car if you get what i mean, seemed to be a bigger gap there (that may of just been my car however) and then worked my way round towards the top and they just popped off quite easily.

Maybe they are different on the 1*2's ?? Your struggling to get yours off Daz , i struggled as well , i tried the screwdriver method and was convinced they were going to crack so gave up . They definitely don't just pull and off like others have said .

Find a screwdriver the same width as gap between the cover / main mirror bit. Place it in and twist, then move along the gap and repeat. I found it helps if you push the bit that you are twisting (if that makes sense).

But yeah as you say, mine will not just 'pull off' I wish they would! :dapprove:

Will give the other methods some serious consideration, cheers guys!

take the mirror off if not, should be able to see the clips and use screwdriver to push em out.

Try warming them up a bit with a hair dryer!

I screwdriverd mine off, but that was only because it had a crack in it (hence why it was comming off) Still didnt break tho!
