Removing the shroud around a 182 steering column?

Ive go all the screws off and top cover off but can't get the lower cover off... Its held on by the stereo remote, is there a trick to getting this off?

Yeah, on top theres an angled clip, just push it down with a screwdriver and pull the stalk out. Be careful with the clip though because if you muller it, it'll never stay in!

yep, break the clip and its a new part from renault job, cos i bet if u go to any scrapyards, that part has either already been taken, or its broken
