removing wax residue from black alloys

  Clio 197
i have just had my alloys refurbed satin black and decided to give them some protection with some old turtle wax i have lying around, the problem is especially on the rear of the alloys they have left a white marking - what can i use to remove this - i have already tried daisy apc with no luck. i will be using clear wax in future!

You'd have been better off protecting them with margarine than TurtleWax TBH..

My guess is you've used too much, or left it on far too long so it's just set now, and if it's 'old' it's not going to be at its best anyway.

Wet it and scrub it off with a microfiber .. but then again, if near-enough neat APC won't shift it, i dont know what will !

Maybe some AG 'clean wheels' from Halfords, but just dont leave it on very long at all as it's acidic.
