Renault 19 16v

just got a valver from a mate, needs oneor two things sorted on it before i can put it through its MOT,

basically, how hard is it to remove all door locks and ignition barrel and replace them with identicle parts??

what are the main things i need to be looking out for? the car has been sat in a garage for just over 3 months because my mate lost his licence

all help appreciated

not hard......you can get a kit for all doors, tailgate, fuel cap and barrel for little outlay. Its about 2hrs work, not hard, just pop off and on. Door locks can be fiddly if you dont twist it right.

solid as a rock if looked after. if its been stood for three months, give it a full service, oil and filter change, new plugs, air filter and fuel filter. get it running sweet.

would be the same as a clio id have thought - ie timing belt changes etc.

BTW, theres a 19 16v engine sitting in my local scrappy in aberdeen if you need any bits off it....eg cams for reprofiling etc.....soooo cheap....
