Renault Announces 182 Cup

Will be available later in the year around October time in the fabled orange colour only and with a megane rs bumper.

yes ive just spoke to my dealer (arranging delivery of my 182 for next thursday) he just told me the cup version is coming out but it will only have three wheels to save on weight and no headlights apparently too many 172 cup owners have moaned about being 0.1 seconds too slow

Its been a rumour for months! my sources say its 20kg lighter than a 172 cup and it will be a limited run at the end of the year.

its going to have a new bodykit that follows the megane look.

Its also going to be fitted with 16inch versions of the speedline cup racer wheel. and will also have new brakes and seats.

Ive seen picturtes of the interior.

To save weight they have removed the air from the tyres and also the hole from the cup holder

oh, am i bad, have just seen it, it is real and i also noticed that to save more weight they have inserted a 1.2 16v engine in but because the car is so light (no dash board etc) the car does 0-60 in 6.2 secs to beat the current hot hatch king.

I do agree that the 182 is the new king of hot hatches on sale today.

There a picture of a yellow two liter on the forum reciently have a look in media for it.

If some has started this as an april fols can they tell us all now as the idea of a 182 cup will help lower 172 and cup values so I might be convinced to get one.

After seeing that picture and quite a few people remarking over how thay like it and seeing as the 182 could still be ligened then I guess its a possibility.

It would help keep the production demand up whilst they make the last 182s.

I know Jeramy said the bumber was an aftermarket thing but he never said there was no more track orientated car posible. I dont think even if we asked him he would tell us either way.

The only thing that could possibly make themn NOT put it in production would be the fact that it would be soooo close to the V6 in terms of speed. and therefore theyd be riskin sales of the V6.

otherwise if theyre made ill prob have to get one of the feckers! &£$(^"£$_*!!!!!! looks awesome!
