renault clio 1.5 dci injector

i have just passed the MOT test but have been told that one injector has gone!

took it to a mechanic and he said it could cost about 250 - 300 to replace it!
i researched a few on the net and they were coming up at a price of 25 - 30 quid!

any help guys!
my car was registered in october 2002 and i believe i only need to replace 1 injector, however, had it been about 6 moinths older i would've had to replace all 4

Firstly do you know which injector has gone or how bad etc? have you noticed mpg chnace why does he think one injector is gone is it missing?

Anyway new injectors plus programming is about £250 they have to be programmed with the Renault clip or similar expensive software.

As regards you possibly needing to chnage all 4 if your car was earlier its incorrect.

Not enought info in the advert as to what engine the injectors are from I'd say there the wrong ones and for the lower hp (55 from memory) vans so you'd realy need the ecu remapping to make the same power as before plus you'd need to change all the injecotrs so there the same flow levels.

have you thought about having your injectors serviced ? unless they are beyond repair . otherwise the cheapest i have seen them for was £160 for a used set .
