Renault Clio intermittent starting

I recently bought a Renault Clio Dynamique 04 Plate. Great little car!!

Since I have had it, it sometimes struggles to start, for example when started and left for about an hour, I go back to it and it turns over for about 5 secs then starts up.

I have replaced the crank sensor with the new wiring as this is what many people said the problem was however it hasnt seemed to help! There are endless threads about this but the only solution is replacing the crank sensor which is what ive already done!

Any help would be greatly received.

Ive just had this same problem with my 172 mate, done everything you said, and then randomly one day start working again. I definitely think ive got an electric fault somewhere which is causing mine though

Its such an annoying fault. It starts every time though, has never let me down! The sunroof was leaking on mine so I took it out and sealed it the other day, im wondering if waters got in the electrics like you say which is causing it.
