Renault Clio Mk1

Hiya,

I have been looking at the Mk1 Clio's as they are going for around £500 and they seem nice little motors to learn in. I won't be learning until December but If I see a Mk1 at a bargain, are they good cars to buy/insure/drive?

Cheers,

Ryan ;)

im guesing your 16/17 then?

i had one for my first car

- the 1.4 rt's are quite nippy for a first car
- no first car is cheap to insure, expect to pay £1k +

personally i would go for the 1.4rt (elec windows, power steering etc)

  RenaultSport 172.
i had a 1.2 mk1 for my first car...insured all my lowering, alloys, side exit, buckets, harness's, blah. and cost me £1450 ....fully comp on my own policy. not bad for my first year, and then the follwoing year, upgraded to a valver =].

go for them mate, dont cost the earth, and simple to modify and do mechanical work on :)
