2001 Renault Clio
Hi their,
Recently I changed the headlights on my 2001 1.2 Clio (Due to clouding). I changed them to Projector Angle eye style headlights, Just like the BMW's anyway the standard bulbs that came with them were rather useless they didn't light up the road much on Dipped beam, So I ordered last week and fitted them yesterday a H1 HID conversion kit (6000k) and they look so much better, now I'm tempted to upgrade the full beam bulbs as they are still the standard bulb that came with the angle eyes headlights.
Now Ive been told by a mechanic I know that he would recommend getting a HID conversion kit (8000k) for the full beam but I don't know what bulb fitting it would be, Ive had a look on some websites such as (http://http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk) and for dipped they recommend H4's and full beam they recommend H4's again, with H1's being recommended for use with my fog lights, and also another website (http://http://www.powerbulbs.com/vehicles/cars/uk-ireland/renault) recomend H7's for dipped, H1's for main/high beam and H11's for fog lights, yet my mechanic friend has had a look and said straight away that the Renault Clio Mk2 Phase 2's fog lights would use H7's for the fog lights.
Has anyone upgrades their stock bulbs to HID's before and would know what bulb the full beam would use.
Thanks,
Lloyd.
