renault key batteries

my remote didnt work on my mk1 clio the other day so i bought new batteries do i just open the key up with a screw driver and replace because its got an immobiliser?do u have a time limit?

shudnt do, ive replaced my key fob battery a few times, never had anything happen

no, just take the keyring loop bit off the key and slide one half of the key one way and the other half the other.

2 second job. Although its sometimes a b**ch getting the key to slide apart.

i think he said it was an older clio??

didnt they have a screw in the middle?

im not familiar with them, lol

yeah its a mk1 so theres a little screw easier than a slide proberly!cheers
