Quite a bold move! Great for potential customers with various dealers in their area. The reviews are also very honest and haven't been filtered in any way.

www.Renault.co.uk

Search for your dealer using post code/city name

Read customer comments on their experience split by sales & service.

Thoughts?

Thats a great idea-

Will soon sort out the wheat from the chaff- Will also ensure people like the service managers arent miserable as sin

I think its potentially going to shoot them in the foot. On the whole you will always get people quick to leave damning feedback but not many people will go out of their way to leave positive feedback.

Have to wait and see how it pans out.

Yep, could be carnage. I do try to pass on word of mouth if I have received good service though.
That said, being a couple of miles away from Fred, I am fortunate enough to rarely have to go near a dealer.
I work in the auto support industry so know just how bad (generally) they can be.

Feedback is very balanced as it's gathered through Renaults customer satisfaction survey.

Quite a good idea.

People on here also need to remember that people that actually still use the Renault dealer network will (mostly) be fairly inexperienced in mechanicals anyway, so they arent really going to know whether the service is good/well done/well priced. So feedback, on the whole, will probably be quite good.

Well I just had my customer feedback call regarding my local branch after picking up my new Clio last week. Mixed review from me really. Complemented the sales staff but commented on the lack of after care.

Oh well, will be interesting to see how it is posted on the site. Mind you the guy I spoke to sounded more like a machine than a person.

Yep, what you put in is what you get out. Does your feedback actually appear verbatim or is it just yes/no and they show feedback as statistics.
Oh, and new car you say, have you checked for the swirls on it yet? Just kidding, but some of the cars that get through pre-delivery are shocking.

I said it's ok for the whole conversation to be put on the site so it will be interesting. Most of the questions were happy/not happy, but when I answered not happy I was also given the chance to say why and was told that the feedback I gave will appear on the site, as I said it.

The car has one or two paint issues but these will be sorted soon (paint needed). I gave the car a full detail when I got it home, about 2 hours to correct some swirls here and there but to be honest it wasn't all that bad.

I will post some pics of the car soon.

The two times we have had, in my family, very bad customer service from renault is when we have been seen to by the same dick head salesman, who's always wondering around the Bradford dealer. (thank god there's one in huddersfield now)

But we would never fill in a renault satisfaction survey if we were just buying but walked away as they dont have our details.

This same salesman at bradford lost 2 sales, my dad was going to buy a ex demonstrator megane in about 2002 and my mum was going to order a new twingo in 2009. Dad ended up getting a pug and mum bought an aygo.

Screams out holiday five star rating service to me. You look at somewhere dead nice and book it then look at the reviews and find out it's terrible... Get there and it's good or cancel the holiday...

What I'm trying to say is it's pot luck with or without if you ask me... :/

They do this with the BMW dealers, and as usual you just hear the horror stories of a car that has been in and out for the same problem, usually just a place for disgruntled people to moan. You wont get many people who can be bothered to leave good feedback unless the service was truly amazing.

I'm sure my local renaulst dealer SMC has been doing this for years though?

I left good feedback about the sales staff as the service was good. I left bad feedback about the service desk as the service has been pretty poor up till now. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. I think it will work in two ways, it will highlight the issues with certain branches. I always end up chasing the service desk at my local Renault. Im currently awaiting a call that i said i should be getting on tuesday just gone. As per usual i will be calling them up tomorrow. No branch likes negative feedback, and maybe this will get them to start pulling their fingers out a little.

I will be keep a close eye on this to see if my feedback is published on the site.

the difference is that its public for all to see. I sent an email to the dealer principle at the BMW dealer i bought a car from recently as the salesman was so good and gave me excellent service, but i wouldnt leave such a gushing review on their website, not sure why. Same when the other BMW dealer i used to use blanked 5 calls and never got back to me when i wanted to book in a service, i emailed their dealer principle and said i'd never spend a penny with them ever again. On each occasion i got a direct reply stright from the main man, not so sure that would happen if i just left a moody review on their website.

4/5 for sales & service at my local stealership. This is clearly rigged...

Not all are good here is a review of a branch near me.

This was the second time that I had used City Reading and it was a mess, the customer service was rubbish. They said they couldn't find the fault and changed a part that later broke down and if felt like they weren't listening to what we were telling them about the fault. A communication error from the receptionist to the mechanic. They should improve customer service . It was an unpleasant experience and frustrating. When we came to pick the car up they had left clutch fluid all over the inside of the car.

My local one is 4 1/2 star for service, but it only takes one review to put me off completely (no matter how many other reviews there are), that review was "The emission light came up. The dealer said I would need a new catalytic converter and quoted me £1,750. I took my car to another garage who changed a sensor and that fixed the problem"...

LOL, 5 star sales and 4 star service from where I bought my 200.

Not bad for getting an order wrong TWICE. Then taking the car for a joyride and denying it to RUK but later admiting it when it was in for warranty work.

Fail.
