Renault no longer doing Elf Oil?

Just been to my local Renault Stealer to get some 5w 40 elf excilium oil only to be told they dont use it and have a deal with mobil to use that instead.

Is this something all Renault dealers are doing?

Hi ya mate, Renault seem to be changing quite a bit, i mentioned the oil filter type change in a prior post, they must be struggling a bit due to the Jap competition and various other marques.

The oil I use is Valvoline 5w40 pure synthetic I used to use this in my 5GTT as well (£31.65 for 5ltrs) from local motor factors Andy Curran's

We buy the ELF Excellium all the time. Got 6lt this morning and nothing has been mentioned

My local dealership told me they don't sell it a couple of weeks ago. (Thought it was a bit strange at the time - I was sure they used to sell it)

The guy said they only supply oil in the workshop (for oil change I guess) not from the parts department :S

My local renault is a renault Minute and they now sell Duckhams oil.

dealers can sell what they want (normally the cheapest so they make maximum profit)

would any of you be interested in a group buy? or if we start listing the elf 5W40 on our website

what do you all pay for 5L???

Id be up for a group buy, cant seem to get any fully synthetic 5w40 (any brand) around here.

i would too collected 5 litres last month for just under 30

my dealer said they only get it in 18 Land couldnt sort it to 5L for me.
