So after the missus fell pregnant in July (due in March), it was apparent that we would need a bigger car. Having done the rounds of every affordable performance 5 door car and nit-picking and generally talking myself out of it Julie opted to get rid of her car (Pug 107) for a brand new Pug 208 (thread going up later)
So we did! Traded in her 107 and picked up her 62 plate 208 on a great deal! More about that later!
So that was it, no need for two 5 door cars. So i decided to sell my 172 Exclusive as i fancied a Cup! Never had one so opted for one i found on Gumtree of all places!
I cannot stay away from these f**king things lol.
The obligatory mpg shot;
Oh, it has Recaro's aswell;
There aren't many plans for HK03 RPY other than keep it a nice tidy well looked after example, i love the silver wheels against the Mondial blue, it'll be a pleasure to clean i'm sure. The Recacro's i am completely undecided on, i love the lower seating position but whether they actually have any lateral support i am undecided, i'll see how i feel towards the spring.
So with 70k on and every service bang on (and from the same garage from new) and a recent full service including belts and dephaser etc i was happy! The first impressions are good, it seems stiffer/harder than any of my previous Clio's? The engine is strong and pulls well with no drama however there is knocking coming from either the dogbone mount or top mount under brisk acceleration, ill have this looked at this week!
Also, the volume stalk buttons dont work (the guy gave me a spare) how easy is this to change?
So anyway, there it is, Clio RS number 4 in 5 years lol.
C + C as always welcome!
